Douwe Groenevelt

As the Deputy General Counsel in ASMLs Legal & Compliance Department, Douwe is responsible for Legal Business Partnering (managing a team of legal business partners covering all of ASMLs Business Lines & Sectors). Furthermore, he manages three Legal Centers of Excellence: the global Litigation, Data & IP team, the global Contracting team and the global Antitrust & Regulatory team. He previously managed the Legal Operations & Strategy Group.

Next to his position at ASML, Douwe co-founded Law & Ops, a leading platform for accelerating the development and adoption of legal operations in the Netherlands. Douwe studied law at VU University (Amsterdam) and UC Berkeley (California). Before joining ASML, he worked for 9 years as a technology lawyer at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. In 2010 he established De Brauw’s office in Brussels and managed that office as its Resident Partner until 2014.
