Chayenne van Lavieren

Chayenne van Lavieren is an IT lawyer at the Innovation, Privacy & Technology department of Pels Rijcken, the leading firm in The Netherlands in the area of new technologies. Chayenne advises and litigates on IT contracts, intellectual property, data and privacy. In addition to classic IT contracts, she has a special interest in innovative IT solutions, artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data and data sharing projects.Chayenne studied Dutch Law at VU Amsterdam. She obtained a master’s degree in Dutch Private Law and a master’s degree in Internet, Intellectual Property & IT. She also studied law at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. After graduating, she was inhouse counsel for an international fashion company. In 2018, she won the prize of the Dutch Association for Procurement Law (NVvA) for her thesis A model contract for the innovation partnership in which she investigated the distribution and protection of intellectual property rights in an innovation partnership. Chayenne is a member of the Dutch Young Litigators Association (VJP) and the Netherlands Association for Information Technology and Law (NVvIR).
