Joel Telpner

Joel Telpner chairs the Fintech and Blockchain practice group of the international law firm, Sullivan & Worcester.  Joel is a highly sought after strategist and counselor who was named as one of the Top 10 Fintech attorneys in America by Chambers and Partners in their Fintech 2019 edition, named one of the Top 6 Fintech leading lawyers in the United States by The Legal 500 in its U.S. 2019 edition, and named a “Trailblazer” in the National Law Journal’s inaugural Cryptocurrency, Blockchain and Fintech List.  He structured some of the first token sales and blockchain-based applications, including the first issuance of digital securities utilizing blockchain technology for Overstock.com, and helped Overstock’s tZero trading platform obtain the necessary regulatory approval to trade crypto securities.  He led a panel discussion about token sales and best practices in Davos during the World Economic Forum and co-founded a global trade association for stablecoins.
