Convening
the legal world
since 2018.
The Global Legal Forum began as a single-room gathering at The Peace Palace in 2018. Today GLF convenes the people who shape the law and the profession. General Counsel, Heads of Legal, IP & Employment leaders as well as senior jurists. All in The Hague, as the anchor of the inaugural Hague Law Week.
The legal capital of the world.
No other city hosts as many international courts, tribunals and institutions per square kilometre. The International Court of Justice. The ICC. The Permanent Court of Arbitration. The OPCW. Europol. Eurojust.
When we chose The Hague in 2018, we chose a city where the law is the architecture, not the decoration, where the ambassadors of justice from more than 120 countries are already in residence. This is why we chose The Hague.

From a single room to a city.
Founded in 2018. Paused throughout the pandemic, and again in 2025 to build something bigger. Editions held in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2026, and now 2027, the seventh and largest yet. Nearly a decade on, GLF has become an institution in the city's legal calendar, at home alongside the courts and tribunals that make The Hague the capital of international law.
The first edition · The Peace Palace
One day, one room. The Global Legal Forum opened at The Peace Palace in The Hague, the home of the International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration. A small gathering held with a clear conviction: the legal world needed a forum in the city of peace and justice.
The second edition
GLF returned and grew. More delegates and more jurisdictions as well as the first dedicated specialist sessions. The format that began to define the forum took shape.
Paused · the pandemic
Like the courts and conferences around us, GLF paused as the world shut down. We chose not to dilute the forum into a screen, and waited to convene the room properly.
The return
GLF came back to The Hague, in person. The in-house counsel programme occurred which has become today's flagship General Counsel Forum.
Deepening the programme
Specialist streams expanded alongside the in-house programme drawing from partners and counsel from across the region.
The AI inflection
The conversation shifted as the AI Act advanced. Closed-door roundtables for senior partners and General Counsel became a fixture, providing the platform for conversations that don't happen anywhere else.
No forum this year
GLF took a year out, to plan its largest chapter yet: a full Hague Law Week built around the forum.
The Week takes shape
The sixth edition, and the springboard for what comes next. The plan for a full Hague Law Week is set.
The 7th edition · World Trade Centre – NH Den Haag · 11–12 May
Three deep tracks led by the General Counsel & In-House Counsel Forum. 300+ senior legal leaders, alongside the Europe–Arab Legal Summit across the week. The anchor of the inaugural Hague Law Week, since a single room at the Peace Palace in 2018.
